What to build

Enable strict typing and doc quality checks for new backend modules in CI and local workflows.

Acceptance criteria

  • Pyright strict settings are enabled for target modules
  • Docstring quality checks pass for new code
  • Developer task docs reflect updated quality gates

  • Python backend code must be fully typed and async-safe.
  • Any blocking work must be wrapped through thread/process execution paths as appropriate.
  • Must pass lint, format, typing, docstring, and test quality gates.
